A Commerce District for The City of Midway, Kentucky
This project sets out a pattern of efficient and intensive land use prior-to the normal land-eating sprawl pattern. Large scale Perimeter Blocks with Working Interior Courts allow efficient business conduct and Civil Streets.
The usual types of business for a Freeway interchange are present but held within the form of typical American Main Street commercial buildings in order to create an environment worthy of its role as the "I-64 outpost for the City of Midway."
Drive Through commerce has been limited to 4 sites in the Northwestern corner of the site with strict architectural controls.
